Refugee Festival Focus: Create, Share, Connect
We reached out to our event organisers to find out a bit more about their #RefugeeFestScot events!
Meet Sarah from The GoMA Youth Group.
What can people expect from your event? Why should they come along?
Except a nice and relaxing time at the Gallery of Modern Art with the GoMA Youth Group. Together we will look at some artworks in the galleries and then get creative together through collage.
What does the theme of Storytelling mean to you/ your organisation?
Storytelling is important to us because we want people to connect through culture and art via the stories we have to share about the art. Art isn’t about we know about, it is about who we are and how we feel about, how it connects to our stories.
What are you most looking forward to/ hoping for during the Festival?
We are looking forward to connect with people and share a good time.
Create, Share, Connect will take place on Saturday 18th June, 1.30pm-3.30pm. Find out more and book your free tickets.
