New funding for festival events

Published on 08-Feb-2022

We’re delighted to announce that funding to help communities take part in Refugee Festival Scotland is now open for applications!

The Refugee Festival Small Grants Fund is open to grassroots groups and organisations that are either run by people from refugee backgrounds, or support people seeking safety in Scotland.

Small grants of up to £500 will be awarded to help organisations cover the cost of running events and activities as part of the festival.

The closing date for funding applications is Sunday, 6 March.

Refugee Festival Scotland celebrates refugee arts and culture – the food and drink, music and poetry, art, dance, language and ideas that people bring with them when they settle in Scotland.

This year, the festival takes place from 17-26 June and the theme is storytelling. Events of all kinds are welcome, from art exhibitions, film screenings, concerts, dance and discussion to theatre performances, sporting activities and family-friendly picnics.

Remember to send us your applications before midnight on Sunday, 6 March
