World Refugee Day – Celebrating Diversity

Social Work at the University of Edinburgh, together with the Scottish Association of Social Workers, warmly welcome you to mark World Refugee Day.

The event will include screening the documentary film, Calais Children: A case to answer, followed by a panel discussion on the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and beyond.

Chaired by Dr Dina Sidhva of the Univesity of the West of Scotland, the panelists include: Sean Bell, (City of Edinburgh Council); Mirren Kelly (COSLA); Graham O’Neil (Scottish Refugee Council); Dr Amer Masri (Syrian Scottish Community); Dr George Palattiyil (University of Edinburgh); Jennifer Ang (Just Right Scotland).
