‘We Journey Together’ – Film Screening and Discussion
18:00 -
By Govan Community Project
About the event:
In 2015, volunteer participants from Govan Community Project came together as part of a participatory action research (PAR) group interested in improving awareness of the asylum seeker and refugee experience. Along with Plantation Productions and the Glasgow South Health Improvement Team, they created ‘We Journey Together’, a film and resource pack aiming to increase understanding of the asylum system, challenge stigma, and open up conversations.
Join us at this event to see the film, meet the people involved and discuss the PAR process and filmmaking as a tool for social change and for elevating the voices of people with lived experience of the asylum system.
