Thinking About the Future of Iran in Drumchapel
10:00 - 17:00
By The Open Museum
Thinking About the Future of Iran in Drumchapel is an exhibition of photos taken on a walk guided by Iranian musician Mohammad Mohammadi Champiri in response to the question of what he would take into the future.
The question was posed as part of a round-table discussion with artist Anahita Razmi and curator at Glasgow Museums, Mia Gubbay. The roundtable was intended as a creative space to think about the role of museums in nation and state building – and related to questions posed when considering how the museums could collect around migration. It was part of Razmi’s residency at Lux film archive (2018) and the ongoing Migration Collections Project at Glasgow Museums.
Photographed and co-curated by Iman Tajik with the Open Museum, the community outreach team at Glasgow Museums.
This exhibition takes place June 5 – 30.
