Scratch Cooking

18:30 - 20:30

By K√ľche

A play on the traditional ‚ÄėScratch Night’ event – Scratch Cooking is an evening designed to give young aspiring cooks the opportunity to ‘test’ out their recipes on a live audience. This event will be curated by a group of young refugee and ‚Äėlocal‚Äô cooks providing a unique 3 course menu.

K√ľche is a social start-up which¬†uses¬†a socially engaged food practice to create¬†a programme of one-off food-led events and community dinners that discuss¬†the anthropology of food. All food led events work in collaboration with multicultural chefs and have been designed to celebrate minority cuisines, tell collective and individual stories, provoke¬†discussion¬†on a variety of social issues and experiment with food products, recipes and tastes. K√ľche’s overall mission is to promote integration, overcome social isolation, celebrate minority cuisines, as well as create sustainable outcomes for refugee and other multicultural cooks.
