About the event:

Learn some of the stories of refugees in Scotland, from the post-war camp for Polish refugees in Prestwick to present-day experiences of life for refugees in communities around Scotland.

 

PhD researcher Katherine Mackinnon will discuss key moments, events, and places which help us to understand the history of refugees in modern Scotland. She will also discuss her work in partnership with Maryhill Integration Network using creative writing to explore and document histories of migration and everyday life in Glasgow.
