Stories From Syria

Saturday, 18 June
11:00 - 13:00

By ReAct: Refugee Action Scotland SCIO

Stories From Syria is a record of the life journey of elderly Syrian refugees who have made Scotland their new home. They call themselves the Happiness Group and are one of the community projects facilitated by Re-Act, Refugee Action Scotland.

The Happiness Group have been working with Citadel Arts since early 2021 on this storytelling project, documenting the histories of who they are. And they are delighted to share the final printed version with you, thanks to the Robertson Scholarship Trust and Foundation Scotland.

This event is a celebration of the creation of this book and an opportunity to enjoy Syrian food and music in the company of the authors. You will also have a chance to purchase copies of the book.

Where:

Richmond Hope Church, 227/229 Niddrie Mains Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4PA.
