New Scots - New Generation

New Scots meet a New Generation

Wednesday, 22 June
12:30 - 14:30

By Ubuntu Scotland

Ubuntu Scotland invites you and your children to a family-friendly event led by young people from different backgrounds.

Scottish school children and their New Scots classmates have worked together to prepare a fun-filled afternoon of games and storytelling. The young people will share their stories and experiences ad you’re welcome to share yours too!

We’ll then share some food and have some fun. This event is a chance for children to listen to and learn from each other.

Where

Stepps Cultural Centre, Blenheim Avenue, Stepps, North Lanarkshire, G33 6HN

About Ubuntu Scotland:

We can’t change a young person’s past, but we can change the consequences that inequality in education has on their future. Ubuntu Scotland has identified that children, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, are not given the right attention and support in the academic system. Often the specific difficulties they face are ignored as opposed to tackled.

We want to see every child leaving school with a set of basic life skills regardless of background, along with the confidence and determination to follow whatever further educational or career path they desire.
