MCFB Science Ceilidh
14:00 - 16:00
By Multi-Cultural Family Base (MCFB)
The MCFB Science Ceilidh is a celebration of creativity, curiosity, science and culture. Participants are invited to explore this year’s Festival theme ‘Making Art Making Home’ by taking part in arts, crafts and science based activities, games, music and, most importantly, dancing! There will be some traditional (and not-so traditional) dances to learn with the award-winning Science Ceilidh band!
Places for this event are limited and given out on a first-come-first-served basis. Visit Eventbrite to book your place here.
Accessibility:
Parking in nearby Lidl car park is limited to 2 hours. Buses 7,21, 22,10 get you to the venue.
Access to the front door of South Leith Parish Hall is on a level with the pavement. The pavement is at its lowest on the corner of Henderson Street and the exit from the Lidl car park.
The front door is in two sections, both sections would have to be open for a wheelchair user which requires assistance. The left hand section of the door is normally snibbed top and bottom. Doors could be wedged open if necessary.
Doors to the Main hall are similar to the front door and can be hooked open.
There is an accessible toilet for wheelchair users to the rear of the building (diagonally opposite the main door). Once through the hall door there is one door in a short corridor at the side of the stage. Access to the toilet is by a sliding door and there is a low level hand basin.
