Manyo Bito is the name given to wedding ceremonies celebrated by the Mandinka people from the West African countries of the Gambia, Mali and Guinea.

Join us for a traditional Manyo Bito celebration and find out more about the costumes, music, songs and rituals behind this special occasion.

The Mandinka have a long history of passing knowledge and culture on to new generations through storytelling. We have invited a popular local griot (traditional storyteller) to provide entertainment at our event. This event is open to people of all ages and cultures.

You are more than welcome to wear traditional dress from your own culture.

Refreshments will be provided.
