Journeys to Edinburgh – Walking and Poetry

by Refugee Survival Trust
Saturday 23 June 2018, 14:00 - 16:00

Join Refugee Survival Trust and writer Helen Boden for a guided walk up Arthur’s Seat, with stops for participants to share poems on the themes of journey and exile, and learn about people who have migrated to and from Edinburgh throughout history. Bring a favourite poem!

Refugee Survival Trust provide support to destitute refugees and asylum seekers by providing small grants and a holistic support service. They also run volunteering programmes and provide grants to improve access to education and employment.

Meet at Palace of Holyroodhouse car park at 1.45pm (look for the RST banner).

Not wheelchair or pushchair accessible | the route up Arthur’s Seat follows quite bumpy paths so is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users. Poems will be provided in hard copy booklet format and these will be printed in at least 14pt sans serif but can be provided in larger print if required.
