Hopes For a Post Covid World: Music and Hope
18:00 -
By Massive Outpouring of Love (MOOL)
About the event – Music and Hope
We ran two projects over the period of lockdown concentrating on bringing a bit of joy, love and hope into this very difficult time.
We asked people to send images for an exhibition to excite and provoke people to think about the possibilities for positive change that this global situation presented. Their images were beautiful, hopeful and inspiring.
Later in the year, we put together an online concert inspired by suggestions from our volunteers. We were astonished and delighted by the contributions which came in. They ranged from fantastic performances on the saz (a traditional lute-like instrument) to rousing blues and rock together with some wonderful poems in both Scots and English.
Contributors included: Barrstools, Susi Briggs, Celia D, Beth & Dave Currie, The Hoolits, Junkman’s, Choir, Lee McQueen, The Roving Pedlars, Kashin Rodi and The Wave Blues Band.
There will be a brief introduction before the concert which will give people the chance to find out more about our work and aims.
