A gala day fundraiser to celebrate the contribution EVERYONE makes to music, art, dance, poetry and food culture in Glasgow. The Gala day has been organised to show support to the diverse communities we have in Glasgow and how enriched our community is by them.
Featuring a talk from Amal Azzudin, Scottish Refugee Council Ambassador. Amal’s passion for human rights and social justice began as one of the “Glasgow Girls” in 2005. One of seven school girls from Drumchapel High School, she campaigned against dawn raids, and the detention and deportation of asylum seekers in Glasgow. Their story has been turned into two BBC documentaries, a musical and a television musical drama.

A diverse afternoon compered by broadcaster Fergus Muirhead.
All funds raised support Scottish Refugee Council to assist refugees rebuild their lives in Scotland and are match-funded by Barclays Bank.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. All donations gratefully accepted on the door.
