Pop along to the Augustin United Church for a vibrant morning of workshops, fashion and creative arts. Refugees and migrants who have settled in Edinburgh will be showcasing their talents – and their care for the environment – through storytelling and eco-art.

Have a go at some upcycled crafts, try reflexology, or breathe new life into your favourite outfit at our clothing repair shop. Browse an exhibition of arts and crafts created by refugees and treat yourself to stalls selling green produce, slow fashion and natural skincare.

Augustin United Church, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EL

About ELREC – SOMRA project:

Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) works towards a prejudice-free society where everyone is treated with respect, integrity, and justice. We develop projects and provide the communities in Edinburgh with funded services to tackle inequalities.

SOMRA (Supporting meaningful Occupations for Migrants, Refugees, and Asylum seekers using the Green Entrepreneurship Model) is an Erasmus+ funded project. SOMRA offers an innovative approach for tackling two major challenges of the 21st century, namely climate change and refugee crises, by engaging refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in meaningful occupations that transform them into environmental role models with a sustainable impact on their new and previous home.
