United Through Cricket: Refugee Festival 2026 is a four-day community cricket tournament bringing together Afghan refugees, other New Scots, and local residents. At least three mixed teams will participate, with over 80 spectators expected. The event will celebrate cultural diversity, promote youth engagement, and create a welcoming space for connection through sport. Cricket is a shared passion across many refugee communities, making it an ideal way to build friendships, improve wellbeing, and strengthen community cohesion. The day will include matches, refreshments, music, and opportunities for families to meet, socialise, and celebrate Refugee Festival Scotland together.
Spectators are welcome to arrive and leave throughout the tournament hours.
