Our event, Sharing Food, Sharing Languages, will be led by Adult Learning Refugee learners from various displaced ethnic groups and locations across Highland. There will be representatives from Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, and other countries. The Highland refugee community will lead learning workshops, activities, and demonstrations for all ages. The public will interact in multiple language tasters, delivered by native speakers of Pashto, Dari, Arabic, Ukrainian, Turkish, and more!
The audience will also be participating in interactive culinary workshops of traditional food. There will be an introduction to folk music, culture, poetry, and traditional costumes.
