The art exhibition “Petals of Peace: Floral Art Journey from Ukraine to Scotland” aligns with this year’s festival theme, “Milestones,” reflecting the personal growth and transformative experiences of Liudmyla Kurta-Stehun, a Ukrainian artist in Blairgowrie.
Her journey was profoundly influenced by her first encounter with Scotland’s distinct flowers, which left a lasting impression with their vibrant colours and diverse beauty. For the festival, Liudmyla will showcase medium-sized paintings that capture the unique appearance, colours and textures of these blooms, conveying the tranquillity and solace that nature brings. This collection symbolises her journey from Ukraine to Scotland and how this transition has inspired her creative expression.
Hosted at Blairgowrie Library and supported by Perth and Kinross Council, this event is an opportunity to appreciate the artistry and resilience of a refugee artist in Scotland.

Виставка мистецтва “Пелюстки миру: Подорож квіткового мистецтва з України до Шотландії” відповідає темі цьогорічного фестивалю “Віхи”, відображаючи особистий ріст і трансформаційний досвід Людмили Курти-Стегун, української художниці з Блергоурі. Її подорож була глибоко впливовою після першої зустрічі з унікальними квітами Шотландії, які залишили незабутнє враження своїми яскравими кольорами та різноманітною красою. На фестивалі Людмила представить середньорозмірні картини, які передають унікальний вигляд, кольори та текстури цих квітів, передаючи спокій і розраду, які приносить природа. Ця колекція символізує її подорож з України до Шотландії і те, як цей перехід надихнув її творчий вираз. Захід відбудеться в бібліотеці Блергоурі за підтримки ради Перт і Кінрос. Вхід вільний, всі бажаючі запрошуються під час робочих годин бібліотеки.
