Najwa New Scots Carers Centre (SCIO) proudly presents…
A Celebration of Culture, Community & Welcome!
This is your moment, New Scots!
We warmly invite all members of the New Scots community to join us in sharing your cultural heritage – whether it’s:
- A traditional dish from your homeland
- A story, song, or dance
- Clothing, crafts, or customs
- Or simply sharing information about where you come from in a way that feels comfortable to you
Let’s come together to build friendships, celebrate our diversity, and show that New Scots are always welcome in Scotland.
At the event, we will:
- Introduce our charity
- Do a presentation on the New Scots Integration Strategy advisers and their impact on local communities
- Present cultural performances, including an Indian dance, a Ukrainian band, and a Moroccan tea-making demonstration
- Invite cultural introductions from each participating country
- Host a fashion show showcasing traditional dress from various cultures
- Provide certificate and gift presentations for participants
We have special guests from Scottish Refugee Council, COSLA, the Scottish Government, and local councillors.
