Listening for Home is an immersive solo performance by artist Maimouna Ly, an invitation into a space of deep listening, where personal and collective stories meet across time and place.
Through voice, sound and stories, the work explores memory and belonging. Fragments appear and fade, traces of journeys, silences, and whispers of lived experience.
Rather than telling a single story, Listening for Home weaves what is spoken, unspoken, and remembered through the body. Rooted in presence and attention, the performance explores belonging as something created through shared experience.

Maimouna Ly is an Edinburgh-based multidisciplinary artist working across voice, performance, sound, and storytelling. She approaches voice as both movement and memory, a way of carrying stories across time, place, and experience. Her work explores belonging, identity, and the traces we hold in the body.
Rooted in early experiences of community theatre, singing, and movement, her practice weaves personal fragments with collective echoes.
