Women ActiveWorks Society is hosting a welcoming, family friendly day trip to Loch Lomond as part of Scottish Refugee Festival Week. The event brings together refugee and asylum seeking families for a restorative day in nature, offering a chance to relax, connect and experience one of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. The trip aims to reduce isolation, support wellbeing and create a sense of belonging for people who are rebuilding their lives in Scotland. Participants will enjoy guided walks, shared meals, gentle outdoor activities and opportunities to build friendships in a safe, culturally sensitive environment. By creating space for joy, connection and community, the event celebrates the resilience and diversity of New Scots while strengthening local support networks. A bus will take participants from Lanarshire Mosque to Loch Lomond and back. Snacks will be provided and participants should bring their own packed lunch.
