This event is a community dance and cultural sharing session bringing together New Scots and local residents. Participants from ESOL and refugee backgrounds will co-create and perform a short street-dance-based piece, blending their own cultural movement styles with street dance. Alongside this, individuals and families will be invited to share informal performances, music and cultural dance in a relaxed and supportive environment. Interactive elements will allow participants to demonstrate simple steps and encourage audience involvement. Costumes and visual elements will support the performances, helping participants feel confident and represented.
Participants can register through partner organisations and community groups supporting New Scots, or by contacting Dance Vibez CIC directly via email or social media. We will also accept informal sign-ups and walk-ins on the day to reduce barriers to participation.
Entry: free for new scots with a suggested donation of £2 to cover refreshments
