Solas Festival is a small family-friendly festival of music, the arts and ideas in rural Perthshire (about 1 hour from Glasgow). Over the years we have enjoyed welcoming some refugees and asylum seekers as guests.
An opportunity has arisen for refugees and others to attend free on Saturday 21 June, coming by bus from Glasgow (we have listed below some of the acts taking place on Saturday which might be of interest – the full programme is on www.solasfestival.co.uk).
The bus will leave at 11am from Adelphi Centre, 12 Commercial road, G5 0PQ and return to Glasgow at 8pm.
The bus and the festival tickets will be free. There will be food to buy at the festival, but guests may want to bring some food of their own.
