Community Celebration Families/Young People Film

Our event celebrates the amazing contribution of refugees and migrants to Dundee!

The event will open with a performance of traditional Ukrainian music sung by members of the Berehynia Women’s and Children’s Choir and an opportunity to see a large white tailed eagle puppet symbolic to Ukraine. The eagle has come back from the brink of extinction, encouraging us all to rise and be strong together. There will be food prepared by a lady from Iraq, who is developing her own business and also by our partners Uppertunity who support the disabled community. Football for children and young people will led by a former Syrian professional player. Partners including Dundee City Council Ranger Service, RSPB Scotland and How it Felt will provide more family activities. Join us for Loose Parts Play, arty fun, face painting, circus skills, henna art for all ages and try our smoothie bike!

Other local projects and agencies will be there to share what they do and how you can get involved.

You will find us by the Mansion House building.
