Community Celebration Outdoor Visual Art

Courageous Nature In Our Community is a creative gardening and storytelling project celebrating nature, urban spaces and local people. Delivered in partnership by How It Felt, RSPB Scotland, Boomerang Community Centre and Refugee and New Scot community members, it highlights how individuals can positively shape their local surroundings while supporting wildlife to thrive.

The project shares stories of resilience, everyday courage and adapting to new lives, drawing parallels with the natural world. This event is a culmination of workshops and local trips to build connections, explore creative activities which have contributed to the redesign of murals and garden decorations at Boomerang Community Centre.

This event celebrates local community members, new arrivals, and both migratory and native wildlife. It offers a visual reminder that courage exists in everyday actions, and that even small changes can have a meaningful impact on the spaces we share.

This is a drop-in community event, no registration required. Free and open to all ages and backgrounds.
