Come Fly with Me – community picnic and kite flying

Kite making workshops: 10am-12pm and 1-3pm on Sat 15th June (MILK)

Family community picnic: 12-2pm on Sun 16th June (Queens Park)

We want to engage families in Glasgow to show solidarity with refugees. This event focuses on all children who have been forcibly displaced from their homes, from Gaza to Sudan to Ukraine to Yemen. We want to bring people together to rise up and challenge the narrative around displacement through a community picnic and kite flying afternoon.

We will hold free kite-making workshops for families on Saturday 15th of June where we will design kites with messages of solidarity and hope.

We will have a community picnic in Queens Park and fly our kites together on Sunday 16th. People are encouraged to bring a dish to share.

Email to book a space at one of the workshops.

No need to book for the picnic – we invite everyone to come along.
