This event is part of the Building Solidarity & Kinship programme curated by Esraa Husain at the Refugee Festival Scotland 2025. It will be delivered in partnership with Listen Gallery.
At this event local poets and spoken word artists will share their works exploring themes connected to kinship, migration and refuge. Following that, we will have a Q&A with the audience. The selected performers are Saoirse Amira Anis, Sawsan Al Areeqe, Amira Al Shanti, Aqsa Arif and Flora Weideger. We will have Najma Abukar as the photographer to document our event, and Thierry Fotso as our wellbeing officer.
In addition, we will enjoy a delicious and nurturing meal prepared by the Listen Gallery team. We are delivering this event in partnership with the Scottish BPOC Writers Network.
