“Been (t)Here” is a creative community event bringing together refugees, asylum seekers, ESOL learners and local residents for an open screen printing workshop. Participants will design and print their own T-shirts or bags inspired by the themes of courage, identity and our shared future. Materials and cultural prompts will be provided, with art facilitators on hand to support creativity at all levels. An open mic space will invite music, spoken word and storytelling, creating opportunities to share experiences and celebrate diverse cultural roots. Refreshments will be provided to support a warm, welcoming atmosphere for connection and collaboration.
