Early Learning Workshop

10:30 - 12:30

By Early Learning

*Due to the devastating fire at GSA, this event has unfortunately been cancelled. Please visit Early Learning for details of future workshops. Early Learning presents a free poster making workshop with Glasgow artist Charlie Hammond. Working with print, type and marbling you will create your own poster to take home using both text and image. The workshop is open to fathers and young children (3-7 years old). By asking fathers (rather than mothers or parents) this project will consider traditional gender roles in parenthood. Whilst the interactions are led by play, the results will be collaborative art or design works between father and child. Early Learning is an ongoing action research project produced by independent curators and practitioners, Katy West and Mhari McMullan. The project explores the legacy of Friedrich Froebel’s Kindergarten educational method through workshops, events and unique commissions from artist fathers and their young children. Early Learning will also be at this years Opening Day with a free drop in workshop. Wheelchair accessible | the venue is fully accessible with lift access to all floors.
