Dundee Opening Event for Refugee Festival Scotland

This is a family friendly community celebration with Syrian and Iraqi food, baqlawa, face painting, music and performance. There will be short presentations and stalls of refugee entrepreneurs.

Presentations and speech by Rev Robert Calvert (Minister, The Steeple Church), Sabir Zazai (CEO Scottish Refugee Council) and David Simpson (City Housing Manager, Dundee City Council)

Short film presenting the activities of peer volunteers in Dundee and delivery of certificates

Human bingo and other ice breaker games

Dabka and celebrations

We will chat and enjoy some traditional Syrian and Iraqi food and sweets together

This is a free drop-in event.
