Claiming Back the Narrative: A Photo Voice Exhibition

10:00 - 17:00

By Refuweegee

“With every sunrise a new hope is to be found.” In 2016, Refuweegee – a community-led charity in Glasgow – collaborated with a group of students from Edinburgh to produce Claiming Back the Narrative. This is a photo voice project in which refugees produce and control the narratives of their everyday experiences of living in Glasgow. Claiming Back the Narrative showcases the photos that participants took using disposable cameras, and explores the topics they wish to share with the public. This exhibition is supported by Oxfam Scotland.

This exhibition will be at Kelvingrove from June 20 – June 25.

Kelvingrove Museum is a fully accessible venue. Their access statement can be found here.
