Author and Subject – People Seeking Asylum and Refuge Affecting Change

by Maryhill Integration Network
Tuesday 25 June 2019, 17:30 - 19:00

This event will explore the different ways asylum seekers and refugees use their experiences and voices to positively affect change in their own lives and in the lives of others. Partipants will also seek to discuss what integration means in modern society. The presentation will also demonstrate how groups can build a greater sense of ownership over a project, by using creative methods such as film-making and poster design. Participants will explore the use of community voices in research, dissecting the common relationship between author and subject, and investigate the implications for this.

Please register here for the presentation.

The venue is fully accessible. More info here.
