Anansi the Storytelling Spider and the World Wide Web of Tales

17:00 - 18:00

By Children’s Literature and Literacies Masters Students

This interactive workshop will use the oral folktale about Anansi the spider to invite you to spin a physical web, looking at how storytelling lies at the heart of who we are. Everyone will be invited to share the stories they carry with them that help make them who they are today.

Brought to you by students on a Masters in Children’s Literature and Literacies programme who study diverse literature from around the world. The group have been designing workshops for families and young people to celebrate books that break down borders, and explore how storytelling can help us to understand who we are.
