by The Others
Thursday 17 June 2021, 19:00
About the event:

Join us for an evening of music from two different ensembles made up of refugee, immigrant and Scottish musicians from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds.

The Others brings together musicians from refugee and immigrant communities, as well as some Scots, to collaborate creatively through music. They have created new compositions through a series of collaborative sessions drawing on their diverse influences and experiences.

These sessions were funded by Creative Scotland and EPAD.

Tomtar is three musicians from Iran and are:

Aref Ghorbani – vocals;

Saeed Rezazadeh – Tar & vocals;

Ali Rahmani – percussion, tombak; perform traditional Persian music, and they are also members of The Others.

This is a free event but donations to Scottish Refugee Council are welcome via CLICK HERE
