Tapestry of Anger – The Paradox of Silence
June 21 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

How does it feel to be silent in a room full of loud voices?
In this workshop, led by Heshani Sothiraj Eddleston, we will explore the paradox of silence: why we stay silent, why we get angry, and whether we can feel safe to give voice to our truth.
Participants will have a chance to write, sketch, and air their grievances, without being judged, in a cathartic act to tell their stories. All these words or artwork will culminate into a large tapestry, which each participant will decide whether to keep or get rid of. And then create a new hopeful story.
Heshani Sothiraj Eddleston is a Sri Lankan-born, Edinburgh-based visual storyteller. She uses photography and filmmaking to tell stories of our common humanity. Her work gives space for people to explore who we are without our storylines.
