We’ve prepared a selection of mouth-watering food-focused festival events to get your taste buds tingling.

1. Community Meal: Sharing food and stories

Join members of Glasgow’s refugee and migrant community for a special celebration of food and the power it has to bring people together. Bring along a dish that means something to you, taste mouth-watering meals from around the world and learn the stories, histories and traditions behind each plate of food. Read more…

2. SOIL

Join Deveron Projects in Aberdeenshire for a day of gardening, cooking and eating together. Start the morning with a gardening workshop on summer seeding and harvesting vegetables. Then head over to the Square Deal community hub in Huntly town square to cook and share a meal together. Read more…

3. Never give up, coming together in celebration of our stories

Kinning Park Complex invites you to enjoy an appetising menu of traditional food from El Salvador, Sudan, Iraq, Eritrea and Ethiopia, accompanied by stories about each dish. The meal will be followed with Nigerian storytelling and music and dancing from around the world. Read more…

In collaboration with refugee families, The Kitchen at 44 CIC is hosting a feast of cultural food to accompany some films and animations being shown by Creative Stirling. Read more…

The Building Roots community in Irvine invites you to sample delicious flavours from around the world. Try new dishes and learn the stories behind some of our new neighbours’ favourite foods from home. Tips on sustainable vegetable growing and which gardening methods work well in Scottish weather will also be shared. Read more…
