While the news has been especially difficult over the past couple of weeks, seeing so many people come together for Refugee Festival Scotland has been truly heartwarming.

We shared delicious meals from around the world, competed in inclusive sport events, and were inspired by films, art, music and dance performances. With over 150 events happening across the country – from the Borders all the way to Orkney, we’ve shown that communities want connection, not division.

Thanks so much to everyone who took part in this year’s celebration of art, culture and community. We hope you enjoyed Refugee Festival Scotland 2026 as much as we did.

Huge thank you to our amazing volunteer photographers who captured so many special moments! Thank you to:
