Refugee Festival Scotland 2024 – what an amazing 10 days!

From June 14th to 23rd, audiences were invited to participate in events taking place across Scotland, right from Inverness down to the Borders. There were over 170 events organised this year, making it our biggest festival to date. 

We are so pleased to be able to share our Highlights & Overview Report here on Refugee Festival Scotland 2024. 

How to capture over 170 events in just one report? We can’t! Only a portion of events are spotlighted as examples, to give a sense of the variety and range of activity that took place. This writing is a selection of highlights, feedback and impressions from this year’s Festival, and we hope it communicates some of the feelings of taking part across those 10 days, as well as the wider impacts the Festival has, in championing inclusivity for people seeking sanctuary in Scotland.
